Bartending License Requirements for Arizona

Last Updated:

In Arizona, there aren’t any state regulations in place that require a server or bartender to be licensed in order to sell alcohol.

It is important to keep in mind some employers will require bartenders or any other employees to complete such courses regardless of state or city laws.

Optional BASIC Title 4 Training

While not required by the state, Arizona’s Department of Liquor Licenses and Control does encourage alcohol training for sellers and servers through a program called BASIC Title 4.

If your employer does require you to be licensed, you will most likely be requested to receive a BASIC Title 4 training Certificate of Completion. A BASIC Title 4 Training certification is valid for three years.

Training is provided both online and offline and you can find all of Arizona’s state-approved training providers here.
